On Friday, January 27th, the students of ELS/Houston-Clear Lake took a trip to an NBA game to see the professional basketball team of Houston (the Rockets) play against the Washington Wizards. On Tuesday, January 17th, the students of ELS Houston-Clear Lake took a trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This is one of the most popular museums in the United States and ranks just below New York City's American Museum of Natural History and Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum in San Francisco, in most attendance amongst non-Smithsonian museums.
On Friday, January 20th, ELS invited our American friend Brian Keur to teach any interested ELS students how to shoot a basketball and how to play the sport. Everyone improved their skills and we even started a basketball game. Now we will know how the players feel when we go to the NBA game on January 27th!
