Matthew holds a Masters of International Management from Thunderbird, a BA in Political Economy from UC Berkeley, as well as CELTA certification.
In addition to his international experience in the UAE, he was an exchange student in Yugoslavia and has spent time in Guatemala, the Philippines, and Japan. ELS Johnson City is proud to welcome Cheryl Jones to the team as Academic Director. She has been with ELS since 2007, starting as an Instructor at ELS Grand Rapids, Michigan and most recently as the Academic Director at ELS Houston-Clear Lake, Texas. Her interest in TESOL began after studying abroad in Germany and working for the Peace Corps in Ukraine. She very much enjoys working with people from around the world who desire to learn about other cultures and the English language. She looks forward to experiencing all four seasons in Johnson City, especially the brilliant Fall colors.
