ELS/Lubbock is located in the largest city in the Panhandle - South Plains region of Texas and is just minutes away by foot or bus from one of the leading universities in the Midwest. Texas Tech University prides itself on being a major comprehensive research university that retains the sense of a smaller liberal arts institution. Lubbock has many music and art festivals each year, including the Lubbock Music Festival, the First Friday Art Trail and the Flatland Film Festival. Students at ELS/Lubbock also can enjoy an IMAX theater, history museums, sports, the Depot District (music and nightlife) and Mackenzie Park. Texas Tech is large enough to provide the best in facilities and academics, but small enough to focus on the student.

Achieve English Proficiency for University Study
Four private bedrooms sharing a kitchenette and 2 bathrooms in each apartment. ***Meningitis Vaccination Notification*** All students who plan to live on campus are required to show evidence of being immunized against bacterial meningitis. Student must receive the immunization at least fourteen days prior to taking up residence in on campus housing. Acceptable evidence of vaccination includes one of the following: "A letter that indicates the month, day, and year of the immunization with the signature stamp of the physician or his/her designee;" or "An official immunization record generated from a local health department translated in English. Please submit evidence of your immunization to the center (lub@els.edu) for processing. This documentation must be received two weeks before your arrival. If this documentation is not received two weeks prior to student's arrival, it may be delay the entry in to campus housing.

ELS soon to offer another excellent location in Texas! ELS/Lubbock is opening June 25, 2012 at Texas Tech University.
ELS is very excited to announce that a new ELS Language Center will open in Lubbock, Texas in partnership with the prestigious Texas Tech University on June 25, 2012! Texas Tech is a world-renowned public university with an impressive array of degree programs and research institutes!
ELS/Lubbock will offer students yet another study option at a well respected public university in an attractive college town setting.
Texas Tech University
ELS students will have full access to Texas Tech’s library, wide range of excellent recreation facilities, computer labs and more! The ELS facility, with all classrooms, offices and Language Technology Center, will be located off campus with buses operating from this location to the center of the campus. Lubbock, a city of 230,000 people, is located in northwest Texas and is within driving distance of Dallas, Oklahoma City and Houston.

ELS’s partnership with Texas Tech makes achieving your higher education goals even easier. Texas Tech accepts the completion of ELS Intensive English for Academic Purposes Level 112 as fulfillment of the English proficiency requirement for both undergraduate and graduate programs. It also offers concurrent enrollment to students in Level 110 and above. The University issues Letters of Conditional Admission based upon Level 112 for the majority of its of programs.
Students have many degree options at Texas Tech, which offers more than 100 undergraduate programs, 100 masters programs and more than 50 doctoral programs. It also hosts over 60 research institutes. Architecture, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Microbiology, Music, Personal Financial Planning, Petroleum Engineering and Psychology are just a sampling of its wide variety of programs. Calling All Merit Scholars! We are proud to present our ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship in celebration of Fifty (50) Years of ELS Leadership in International Education.
If you meet the minimum grade point average (GPA) and several other requirements, ELS will award 50 percent of your ELS Language Centers English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tuition. The ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship will be paid directly into your student account at the ELS Host Institution or AEC member that issued your CLA, making the process simple and official.
Contact an ELS-authorized Counseling Agent, who will ensure that you follow the admissions process properly, meeting all scholarship terms and conditions. Participating ELS university partners are as follows:
