Barry University Dorm(Student Residence (On Campus))
Very limited space for this option. ELS suggests booking far in advance. Students housed in university dormitories, location on the campus will vary. All less than a 5 minute walk to classes. Shared bathrooms. Shared rooms include 2 beds, 2 dressers, 2 desks, and 2 chairs. Linens are included. Free wireless internet. On campus snack bar and cafe. Roving Barry University security. In order to live in this option, students MUST have the meal plan. Please note that some meal disruptions may occur during the university academic year. Availability: February to May (Sessions 2-5)- Limited rooms available. Students may share a room with Barry University students. May to July (Sessions 6-7)- Ample rooms. Students share with other ELS students. Meal plan is more limited at this time. August to December (Session 8-13)- no rooms are available.

Capri Gardens(Student Off Campus)
Capri Gardens is a mid-sized, gated, apartment complex. Located 5 blocks north from the Barry University campus, students have a short, 15 minute walk to campus. Apartments are fully furnished with ceramic tiled living room with dining area, fully-stocked, eat-in kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Students bedrooms are equipped with personal desks, chairs and dressers. Bed linens and towels are provided. Students may choose to have a single room with a private bath or a shared room with a shared bath. Capri Gardens has a large, outdoor swimming pool and several tennis courts available for students' use.

Homestays in the area(Homestay)
Some students travel to the campus in Miami Shores by foot. We have many hosts that provide bikes. Also the students can take a bus. Some homestays are further and bus will be the only alternative. Some hosts pick up the students after school or drive in the AM, but not every day.

Hi, my name is Cleyton Kano, I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. I went in December of 2009 and studied until Beginning of 2010. I stayed there just a month, and studied at level 7. And everything in Miami was so amazing. I had the great opportunity to live the Christmas season, through Christmas Carol, that was awesome. And lots of experience I could learn during this trip. And also, I made some new friends that will last forever. The institution presents excellent teachers with lots of experience and dynamic methods that makes it easier to learn. Thus I could improve all four essential skills to an effective communication: the audition comprehension, reading, speaking and written. Remember, a foreign experience is something that makes a difference as professional, personal and academic. And if you want to study abroad, you can trust in ELS, they are very organized and take care of many things. So good luck and don't forget, enjoy the maximum of each moment, each experience and you must be disciplined in studies and do your best. And thanks to all my friends that I made at ELS. And here I finalize wishing a good luck to everybody who will study abroad.

My name is Eriko Shimazu. I am from Japan. When I came here I was in level 5; now I am in level 9. Now I am very independent, I can express mysel. I have learned lots of information from people from other countries. I am very happy with the classes; my teachers make sure our grammar is clear. In Japan, I learned English, now I know English. The classes are serious, fun, and exciting.
The weather here is amazing. The nightlife is the best in the world. The beach, the restaurants, the stores, and nightclubs are all awesome. Come to ELS/Miami, you’ll love it

In celebration of the holidays, all ELS Language Centers in the United States, Canada and Australia, plus Princeton Headquarters, will be closed on several different days. Read more to find out.

With the close of 2011, ELS reflects with deep appreciation on your choice to attend ELS Language Centers. We would like to take this opportunity to again say thank you. ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship

Calling All Merit Scholars! We are proud to present our ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship in celebration of Fifty (50) Years of ELS Leadership in International Education.
This scholarship is a special recognition for students like you--with outstanding academic achievement in your undergraduate, graduate, and/or secondary school.
If you meet the minimum grade point average (GPA) and several other requirements, ELS will award 50 percent of your ELS Language Centers English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tuition. The ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship will be paid directly into your student account at the ELS Host Institution or AEC member that issued your CLA, making the process simple and official.
Contact an ELS-authorized Counseling Agent, who will ensure that you follow the admissions process properly, meeting all scholarship terms and conditions. Participating ELS university partners are as follows:

ELS International Pathways expanding in Australia

ELS has expanded to now include pathways to tertiary institutions in Australia!
Interested in studying in Australia? Choose from ELS Universal English College in beautiful Sydney or the new center opening in May 2012 in Brisbane, located on the campus of Metropolitan South institute (MSIT) of TAFE.
ELS provides a full range of English training programs, as well as pathways to over 40 institutions in Australia, including prestigious and popular institutions like Macquarie University, University of Western Sydney, University of Newcastle, University of Wollongong, TAFE New South Wales and Le Cordon Bleu.

Higher Education Pathways

ELS Now Provides Higher Education Pathways from India to the US, Australia and Canada.
Last Thursday marked the opening of ELS International Pathways office in Chennai, India! This momentous next step for ELS was celebrated with traditional Indian foods, Indian dance performances and presentations of the history of ELS and the new mission of ELS in India. We will provide objective education counseling to help students achieve their higher education goals in the USA, Canada and Australia.
