Pennafort Hall(Student Residence (On Campus))
Conveniently located in the same building as ELS, the on-campus dorm offers triple rooms with suite-style bathrooms. Rooms have activated telephones and high speed internet access. All students may use the DUC Student Union complete with billiards, foosball, ping pong, and a big screen TV. Students have full, free access to all campus facilities including the newly renovated sports complex, library, computer room, campus dining hall, etc. Downtown San Rafael is just a short walk away as is the San Rafael Transit Center where students can catch the bus to go to San Francisco. Students can catch the #49 bus (bus stop at the campus entrance) to go downtown or to the Northgate Shopping Mall. Many Dominican University students live in Pennafort Hall. ELS students room together, but they have many opportunities to meet American students in the dorm. Dominican University resident assistants are on-duty and available to assist students. They also arrange social events for the students living in the dorm. ELS students are always welcome to participate in all on-campus events.

Meals / week or Meal Credit Includes 14 meals per week in the on-campus dining hall. Supermarkets are within walking distance (15 minutes) as are many restaurants. There is a kitchenette in the dorm building with a sink and microwaves. Students are allowed to use the kitchenette at any time. |

San Rafael Student Home(Student Off Campus)
Beautiful nearby student residence offers shared rooms (double rooms; some triple and single rooms upon request and availability). Shared bathrooms (usually two bedrooms share one bathroom). Separate male and female sections. All rooms are tastefully furnished with modern furniture (beds, desks, chairs, bookshelves, closets), pictures and mirrors. The residence offers 2 furnished living rooms (with cable TV/DVD/Video center), a large kitchen (with all equipment and cookware) and dining room, a recreation room (with ping-pong table, foosball, karaoke), a self-service laundry room (at a small fee), a garden and patios, and free parking. Free high-speed wireless Internet in all rooms and on patios. Phones with free local phone service. Linens and towels are included. Daily cleaning service. Free shuttle bus to ELS (5 minutes) and within San Rafael. Walking distance to large mall, shopping center, supermarket, banks and restaurant. Security: There are separate male and female sections in the student home. All rooms have separate locks. There is an on-site student "Resident Assistant" to help students, a Manager, and a 24-hour Help Line. Students live together like a family and make friends from all over the world! With the close of 2011, ELS reflects with deep appreciation on your choice to attend ELS Language Centers. We would like to take this opportunity to again say thank you. It is truly rewarding to work with all of you in our common goal of enabling you to fulfill your career and life goals through education.

ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship

Calling All Merit Scholars! We are proud to present our ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship in celebration of Fifty (50) Years of ELS Leadership in International Education.
This scholarship is a special recognition for students like you--with outstanding academic achievement in your undergraduate, graduate, and/or secondary school.
If you meet the minimum grade point average (GPA) and several other requirements, ELS will award 50 percent of your ELS Language Centers English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tuition. The ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship will be paid directly into your student account at the ELS Host Institution or AEC member that issued your CLA, making the process simple and official.
Contact an ELS-authorized Counseling Agent, who will ensure that you follow the admissions process properly, meeting all scholarship terms and conditions. Participating ELS university partners are as follows:

ELS International Pathways expanding in Australia

ELS has expanded to now include pathways to tertiary institutions in Australia!
Interested in studying in Australia? Choose from ELS Universal English College in beautiful Sydney or the new center opening in May 2012 in Brisbane, located on the campus of Metropolitan South institute (MSIT) of TAFE.
ELS provides a full range of English training programs, as well as pathways to over 40 institutions in Australia, including prestigious and popular institutions like Macquarie University, University of Western Sydney, University of Newcastle, University of Wollongong, TAFE New South Wales and Le Cordon Bleu.

Higher Education Pathways

ELS Now Provides Higher Education Pathways from India to the US, Australia and Canada.
Last Thursday marked the opening of ELS International Pathways office in Chennai, India! This momentous next step for ELS was celebrated with traditional Indian foods, Indian dance performances and presentations of the history of ELS and the new mission of ELS in India. We will provide objective education counseling to help students achieve their higher education goals in the USA, Canada and Australia.
