McIntyre Hall(Student Residence (On Campus))

Shared typical on campus dorm room. Shared hallway bathrooms. Rooms include 2 twin beds, 2 student desks, one sink, double wardrobe. Linens are also included. Self-service laundry machines are available in the same dormitory building for a small fee. Males & Females live in separate "wings" but may be on the same floor. UW has a strict policy on having guests of the opposite sex in rooms after 10 pm. American students are in the same dorms but not in the same rooms as ELS students. Security: Doors are secured 24 hours per day. Each floor has 2 resident assistants.

Samantha F. Radovich

Samantha F. Radovich

Center Director

Samantha F. Radovich received her B.A. from the University of Colorado and her M.A. from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. In addition, she is certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Language Program Administration. Samantha has over ten years professional experience that spans across five countries (Chile, England, Mexico, Spain and the U.S.A.) and includes international program development, management, marketing, program assessment and curriculum design. Moreover, Samantha has nine years instructional experience, three years as a teacher trainer and is passionate about world languages and cultures.

Academic Director

Ward Kelman holds a B.A. degree from Western Michigan University and obtained his TEFL Certificate from San Diego State University. Prior to entering the ESL field, Ward spent 12 years in Global Logistics. During that time, he worked for Singapore Airlines for six years. In 2001, Ward joined the U.S. Peace Corps and taught International Trade and Logistics at the State University of Economics and Foreign Trade in Kyiv, Ukraine. During his ESL teaching career, he has taught students from 38 different countries.

Greetings! My name is Junko Meguro Garrison, International Student Adviser at ELS Laramie. I was born and grew up in Fukushima, Japan. I have a B.A. in Foreign Language Studies and I worked as a teacher of English as a second language and a counselor in International Relations in Japan. It is my great pleasure to be able to meet students at ELS and appreciate learning and sharing our customs, lifestyles and cultures.

David Lausch

David Lausch

Registrar

David Lausch grew up in sunny southern California. Growing up he surfed, played soccer and waterpolo for the USA in the Junior Olympics. Mr. Lausch went on to graduate from PLNU in San Diego with a B.A degree in History. Upon completing his B.A., David married his college sweetheart and embarked on a world tour teaching Math and History for five years in Japan, Kuwait and Dubai. David and his wife now attend graduate school at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. They love learning about foreign cultures, languages, foods and conversing with international students.

Hi! I’m a student at ELS Language Centers in Laramie, Wyoming. My name is Piyatip Diloksri. I am from Thailand. I want to tell you about my experience at the University of Wyoming in Laramie!

What I like best about ELS:
I came here hoping to improve my English and that’s what I learned at ELS. I’m very satisfied. Moreover, I’ve learned diverse cultures here.

My classes:
Both the SSP and LTC classes helped me improve my English skills a lot.

My homestay:
I have a very nice time with my Homestay family. It was the best experience ever! They took care of me like I was one of their family.

UW campus & facilities:
I went to a couple of football and basketball. They were good, but it would be better if ELS students could get free tickets.

My advice for new students:
ELS is the best place to comprehend English and living with an American Homestay family is the best way to learn about American culture.

With the close of 2011, ELS reflects with deep appreciation on your choice to attend ELS Language Centers. We would like to take this opportunity to again say thank you. ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship

Calling All Merit Scholars! We are proud to present our ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship in celebration of Fifty (50) Years of ELS Leadership in International Education.


This scholarship is a special recognition for students like you--with outstanding academic achievement in your undergraduate, graduate, and/or secondary school.

If you meet the minimum grade point average (GPA) and several other requirements, ELS will award 50 percent of your ELS Language Centers English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tuition. The ELS 50th Anniversary University Tuition Scholarship will be paid directly into your student account at the ELS Host Institution or AEC member that issued your CLA, making the process simple and official.

Contact an ELS-authorized Counseling Agent, who will ensure that you follow the admissions process properly, meeting all scholarship terms and conditions. Participating ELS university partners are as follows:

ELS International Pathways expanding in Australia

ELS has expanded to now include pathways to tertiary institutions in Australia!







Interested in studying in Australia? Choose from ELS Universal English College in beautiful Sydney or the new center opening in May 2012 in Brisbane, located on the campus of Metropolitan South institute (MSIT) of TAFE.

ELS provides a full range of English training programs, as well as pathways to over 40 institutions in Australia, including prestigious and popular institutions like Macquarie University, University of Western Sydney, University of Newcastle, University of Wollongong, TAFE New South Wales and Le Cordon Bleu.

Last Thursday marked the opening of ELS International Pathways office in Chennai, India! This momentous next step for ELS was celebrated with traditional Indian foods, Indian dance performances and presentations of the history of ELS and the new mission of ELS in India. We will provide objective education counseling to help students achieve their higher education goals in the USA, Canada and Australia.
