Our ELS Language Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is located on the Oklahoma City University (OCU) campus in the heart of the state capital. Oklahoma City is small enough to be friendly, yet large enough to offer a variety of cultural, entertainment and sports events. For maximum results in just one week’s time, the Super Intensive Plus Program is the best choice for a busy executive. This highly rigorous course consists of 70 lessons, 50 minutes each, of combined in-class instruction and out-of-class cultural activities, generally taught from Monday through Sunday. Super Intensive Plus is ideal in preparation for an important business presentation or meeting in the United States. Due to the intensity of this program, intermediate English proficiency is highly recommended. ELS will provide assistance with accommodation arrangements.
Super Intensive English (30 lessons)

The ELS Super Intensive English Program is the fastest way to improve English proficiency. This course combines highly concentrated, one-to-one instruction and a curriculum targeted specially to the participant’s needs. Courses are individually designed based upon level of English ability, desired language use and outcomes, and length of time available for study. This program can begin on any Monday and may last for one week to four weeks or more. The Super Intensive Program consists of either 20, 30 or 45 private, 50-minute lessons each week, taught on a Monday to Friday schedule. ELS will provide assistance with accommodation arrangements.

Through regularly organized activities you can practice English both in and out of the classroom with native guest speakers or American students discussing various topics.
Music, Voice or Dance Lessons
We can arrange for students to take musical instrument, voice or dance lessons with faculty or qualified students.
College Class Visits and Auditing
ELS Intensive students (in key levels) can visit one or more college classes, depending on professor approval.
College Credit for ELS
Eligible ELS students can receive academic credit from the ELS host college/university for having completed key ELS level(s). This credit may be applied toward any degree eventually earned at that college, but is not transferable should the student transfer to another college or university.
Scholarships/Discounts
After completion of the full ELS Intensive English Program qualified students may receive credit for ELS and/or tuition discounts at select host universities and colleges, once they matriculate.
Access to Campus Facilities/Services
ELS students may use many of the facilities at our host college/university for free (or low cost) during their studies. Available facilities may vary, but usually include a fitness center, swimming pool, campus library, tennis court, and more.
Concurrent Enrollment at Host College
ELS students who have received conditional acceptance from the host college/university may have the chance to attend one or more individual college courses (for credit) while still studying in the Intensive English Program or Fast Track Program.
TOEIC Testing Center

Center Staff
Michael Larson
Center Director: I am an "okie" (a native-born Oklahoman). I studied journalism and worked at some local news papers before studying at OCU for my MBA. I lived in Asia for about 4 years studying and teaching English. Now I am back in Oklahoma City with my wife, Jade.
Nelson Einwaechter
Academic Director: I have lived nearly half my life outside of the United States. When I was young, I lived in Belgium for 7 years with my mother, older sister and younger brother. I learned to speak French and play soccer there. I went to High School and College in Maryland before moving to California. While in California, I became interested in Japanese food, culture, and the language. Eventually, I went to Japan to teach English there. I worked and lived in Hiroshima for nearly 14 years.
I have many hobbies, such as cooking (and eating) foods from many different countries. I also like to watch English Premiere League soccer matches on TV and travel when I find the time.
Beth Ferreira
I am a recent graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University where I studied Religion and Journalism. I taught English in Damascus, Syria for a short time, and enjoy spending time with people from all over the world.
Charles Shah
Registrar: My name is Rakesh Chandrakant Shah, but my nickname is Charles. I am a Gujurati, Indian-American who was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2001, I moved to Norman, Oklahoma to attend the University of Oklahoma. After graduation, I moved to Oklahoma City to work in politics for the Oklahoma State Governor and then the Oklahoma State Senate. After leaving politics I worked with a bank dealing with consumer and commercial lending. When I returned from a five month overseas trip to India and Dubai, I joined ELS Language Centers as a teacher, and now I am the Registrar. I manage all student billing files and am in charge of accepting all payments for tuition and housing and assisting with the IELTS testing in our office, and I plan to get my MBA Degree. I love learning about new cultures and people’s customs. I have been to many countries and love to travel. I have one dog, Mocha, who is like his owner and loves to travel to Tulsa to visit family.
