    Students can live with a local family for a true American experience! Host families will provide each student with a private bedroom along with breakfast and dinner each day. If the homestay is not within walking distance to ELS or a bus stop, the family will provide transportation to ELS for the student. Host families love to learn about other cultures and spend time talking with the students that they host.

    • 14 meals per week. Students have access to kitchen if they would like to make meals in addition to the meals provided by the family.

    Student Residence (On Campus)

    • Lucille Clement Hall opened in 1967 and was renovated in 2010. This 5-story residence hall houses 464 students and is co-ed by floor and/or wing.
    • This is a great place to meet Americans and other international students. The residence hall has lots of activities in which to participate!
    • Double rooms offer the following:
    • Shared room with two XL twin beds, 2 built-in dressers, 2 closets, 2 desks, sink, and mirror.
    • Cable, 2 Ethernet jacks, and Wi-Fi
    • Air conditioner and heating units in each room Other features of this residence hall include:
    • Shared bathrooms and showers on each wing Kitchens located on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th floors
    • Laundry facilities on the 1st floor
    • Vending machines on every floor
    • Multiple lobbies and lounges
    • Lucille Clement Hall is located in the middle of campus and is across from the recreation center, which has a weight room, aerobic machines, swimming pool, climbing wall, and more.

    • Unlimited meals per week at the Marketplace cafeteria, located in the Culp Center.
      Students will receive the Anytime 7-Day Silver Dining Plan, which allows them access to the Marketplace (cafeteria) as many times as they would like during operating hours (7:00 a.m. to midnight). The Marketplace has many dining options, including vegan and vegetarian food, pizza, grilled items, pasta, salads, deli sandwiches, and traditional American food.
