About This Center
The ELS English Language Center in Miami is located on the campus of Barry University in Miami Shores, a suburb of the exciting city of Miami. Students enjoy year-round sunshine, warm ocean waters, and sandy beaches. Students live where others vacation as they learn English in Miami. They also experience a melting pot of cultures, which makes this place known as the “Magic City” so eclectic.
Miami is perfect for outdoor activities such as windsurfing, snorkeling, jet skiing, and boating. The culturally-rich city is also home to art, music, film and food festivals, shopping, concerts, and sports.
Learn English at Barry University
Barry University is a private, Catholic institution that offers more than 100 academic programs. The campus features a number of different facilities, such as playing fields, music rooms, dining areas and a fitness center.
Upon successful completion of ELS Level 112, you will fulfill the English language entry requirement for conditional admission to Barry University, as well as additional nearby partner colleges and universities.

English Language Center Miami, Florida
Some students walk to campus. Many host families provide bikes. Students can also take a bus to classes – some homestays are further from campus and the bus is the only option. Some host families may drop off and pick up their students.
Cost per Session: $1,032
Meal Credits: 14 meals per week. Breakfast and dinner are provided every day, and lunch is also provided on weekends.
Student Residence (on campus)
Mottram Doss Dormitory offers suite-style rooms. Each room has a large shared living room, five shared bedrooms, and two full baths. The residence is less than a five minute walk to classes. Shared rooms include two beds, two dressers, and two chairs. Linens and wireless internet are included. There’s an on-campus snack bar and café. The campus has security.
Students must have the meal plan and must arrive with the completed immunization forms from the ELS welcome packet. This is a non-smoking campus and residence hall.
