About This Center
The beautiful campus of the University of Missouri is a picture-perfect place for English classes in St. Louis. Students can learn English in St. Louis while enjoying the large, open campus lawn and participate in casual outdoor activities such as Frisbee, volleyball, and soccer.
Despite being a thriving city with a vibrant local culture, entertainment, and various attractions, St. Louis has a relatively low cost of living. This means when students are not in the classroom, it’s easy to afford what St. Louis has to offer, such as live music, scenic parks, and sporting events.
Learn English at the University of Missouri - St. Louis
The University of Missouri - St. Louis is a public institution offering more than 74 degree programs. UMSL is one of the most diverse campuses in Missouri, with nearly 17,000 students from over 100 countries. The campus features a host of facilities available to ELS students, including the library and the recreation and wellness center, which features basketball courts, climbing walls, aquatics facility and indoor soccer arenas.
Upon successful completion of ELS Level 112, you will fulfill the English language entry requirement for conditional admission to the University of Missouri, as well as additional nearby partner colleges and universities.

English Language Center St. Louis
Families hosting students help with public transportation to the center on the first day. Hosts look forward to meaningful conversations with students and establishing long-term friendships. Students have a private bedroom with linens provided, and can use the kitchen. Some homes have private bathrooms, and others are shared.
Cost per Session: $920
Meal Credits: 14 meals per week.
Great Things to See and Do in St. Louis
Gateway Arch: This stainless steel structure rises 192 meters into the air.
Forest Park: The enormous park features a zoo, summer concerts, seasonal festivals, museums, and a golf course.
Professional and College Sports: The city is home to professional baseball and hockey teams, and competitive university sports teams.
