ELS San Diego is centrally located in downtown San Diego, California, near the city’s entertainment and shopping district and major bus and trolley lines. The comfortable climate, friendly atmosphere, sandy beaches, year-round events, and many tourist attractions make this lively coastal Southern California city a fun and unique place to explore.

Great Things to See and Do

Mission Beach: This popular 3.2-kilometer stretch of white sand and its nearby boardwalk is perfect for sunbathers, inline skaters and bicyclists.

Living in an ELS homestay is a very popular and practical choice, especially for inexperienced travelers or younger students. You get a comfortable and safe place to live with home cooked meals and a friendly experienced host. Talking with your homestay hosts is a great way to get extra English conversation practice outside the classroom and to learn more about the United States. Students travel to and from their homestays via convenient and affordable public transportation.
