Housing Options


Many host families drive ELS students to campus in the morning and pick them up in the evening. Other students take a bus to campus. No homes are within walking distance.

  • 14 meals per week. \*Host families will provide breakfast and dinner for you every day. Breakfast may be hot or cold. Please be aware that you will probably prepare your own breakfast each morning. Most American families have a simple breakfast, and they do not usually eat together. Your host family will show you around the kitchen and where the breakfast foods are kept. \*Dinner will be a sit-down meal as a family at least 4 or 5 nights a week. Tell your host family if you have food preferences or any foods you can't eat.

Student Residence (Off Campus)

All apartments have 2 private bedrooms and 2 private bathrooms. Each student''s bedroom has a desk and closet. The kitchens include a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher, and are supplied with pots, pans, and cooking utensils. One set of linens per student are provided upon check-in, but students are responsible for the purchase of cleaning and household supplies and food. Students clean their own rooms and share responsibility for cleaning of the shared space in each apartment. Washers and dryers are in the building but additional charges apply.
Males and females are placed in separate apartments, although apartment floors are co-ed. American students live in the same apartment complex and may reside on the same floor.
Campus police are on duty twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for security. There is always a Resident Assistant on duty.
Greenville Tech Housing makes all of your classes within walking distance and it provides residents with a college community within which to live. Residents will be able to easily contact and connect with other students through programs and activities offered by the Office of Student Activities. The facility has an exercise room, computer stations, a game area, bicycle parking, and laundry facility on-site.
