About This Center


ELS Kenosha is located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin – Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Kenosha is a vibrant and welcoming community on the shores of Lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin, halfway between Milwaukee and Chicago. Visit the lake, enjoy shopping, golfing, hiking, biking, and, in the winter, try skiing and snowboarding.

Housing Options


Home types vary, but in general, ELS host families live in safe and affluent neighborhoods near the Center. ELS students will be assigned single rooms, some with shared bathrooms. All homes have heating and air conditioning, along with wireless internet. ELS students will have access to kitchen and laundry areas in the home.

  • 14 meals per week. Homestay will provide a continental breakfast and dinner each day. Student is welcome to cook as well. If student has any dietary needs, please inform the homestay provider.

Student Residence (On Campus)

Each apartment has a full kitchen, living room area, and two bathrooms. The kitchens have a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, double-basin sink, dining table, and four chairs. The living-room is furnished with a couch, two end-tables, and a television. Each room in University Apartments is fully carpeted and furnished with beds, extra-long mattresses, two closets, desks, chairs, dressers, garbage can, and includes air conditioning. Students are housed alongside UWP students so there is ample opportunity for social interaction. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cups, cooking and baking pots and pans, and utensils. Each student receives a laundry basket with new towels, bed linens, pillow, and comforter.
