ELS Language Centers is very pleased to announce that a new Center will open January 7, 2013, in Richardson, Texas, in partnership with The University of Texas at Dallas.

Home to approximately 19,000 students, The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) has been named one of the top 100 Best Values in Public Colleges by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine. UT Dallas offers more than 130 academic programs across its seven schools and hosts more than 50 research centers and institutes.
The Carnegie Foundation classifies UT Dallas as a "comprehensive doctoral research university" and a "high research activity institution.” Research projects include the areas of management, space science, bioengineering, cyber security, nanotechnology, and behavioral and brain sciences.
UT Dallas also received a top-tier ranking (#143) among national universities in the 2012 edition of America’s Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The University has been ranked 29th out of 100 schools named to a new Times Higher Education magazine list of the world's most outstanding young universities. The “100 Under 50” list selects the best universities that have been in existence for less than half a century. Nine schools in the U.S. made the list; UT Dallas was the highest-ranked in Texas.
UT Dallas’ Naveen Jindal School of Management’s MBA has been designated as one of the best in the U.S. by Princeton Review. Its faculty was ranked No. 1 in operations management research and No. 3
in information systems research based on publications in professional journals.
In addition to several members of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering, three Nobel Prize winners have served as faculty members: Dr. Polykarp Kusch (physics), Dr. Alan MacDiarmid (chemistry) and Dr. Russell A. Hulse (physics).
ELS/Dallas and UT Dallas
The ELS facility, with all classrooms, offices and the Language Technology Center, will be located on campus. ELS students will have access to the University’s library, recreation facilities, computer labs and other facilities.
UT Dallas accepts ELS intensive English for Academic Purposes Level 112 as fulfillment of the English proficiency requirement for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Letters of Conditional Admission based upon Level 112 are issued for the majority of their programs. UT Dallas offers a wide variety of programs including accounting, arts and technology, business administration, emerging media and communication, geospatial information sciences, molecular and cell biology, public affairs, applied healthcare management, and supply chain management.
On-campus housing in the University Village apartments and home stays will be available for ELS students.
Richardson and Dallas, Texas
Richardson is a modern city of 100,000 residents, and has been ranked as one of the “Top 20 Best Places to Live” by Money magazine. It is an affluent inner suburb of Dallas, and is home to more than 5,000 business operations, including many of the world's largest telecommunications/networking companies: AT&T, Ericsson, Verizon, Cisco Systems, Samsung, MetroPCS, Texas Instruments, TriQuint Semiconductor and Fujitsu.
Nearby Dallas, the third-largest city in Texas, has a population of about 1.2 million people. It was rated as an Alpha-world city by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group & Network, and ranks third among the Best Cities for New College Grads by Bloomberg Businessweek. Dallas is known for its ample and eclectic restaurant scene, highly popular sports and entertainment venues, and one of the most affordable costs of living in the country.
