Fabre Merchan is an English professor in the Department of English and Foreign Languages and an educational researcher at the Universidad Estatal de Milagro in Ecuador. He is also a published author, writing about differentiated instruction in the field of TEFL. Fabre Merchan has recent and upcoming presentations on this topic in the U.S. and in Europe.

Regarding his experience at ELS/Chicago, Fabre Merchan said, “Today, I am going back to my country with better English language proficiency. My brain is full of knowledge and my heart is full of unforgettable moments and international friends.”

Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Dominican University and the Universidad Estatal de Milagro, Fabre Merchan is one of the first nine professors who have come to study English at ELS/Chicago at Dominican University for professional development.

ELS/Chicago is currently working with Universidad Estatal de Milagro to bring up to 30 professors to the Center to study English.
