Student Residence (On Campus)
Students residing on campus will enjoy modern, two-bedroom apartment-style living. They can relax after class in the living room, or cook dinner with friends in the full-sized kitchen. There is also a semi-private en suite bathroom, shared by only four ELS students. Amenities include high-speed wireless internet throughout the apartment, central heating and air-conditioning, and cable TV at no extra cost. Key card access to the building provides safety and security for all on-campus residents. ELS residence hall students have the added benefit of interacting with their Stockton University neighbors and can take full advantage of all activities and events organized by the Residence Life staff at the university. Housing IV is a short walk to the main campus and ELS classrooms. Students can cook their own dinner at home, or eat at one of Stockton's dining halls, including the Lodge at Lakeside, N-Wing student restaurant, or the Campus Center. The NJ Transit bus stops right on campus, and students are a short ride from local shopping, restaurants and more. Residence Hall living is ideal for experiencing true American university student life!
Cost per Session
No meals included. Students may use personal funds to charge ID cards to purchase meals on campus.
ELS/Atlantic City students are placed with kind, generous host families in close proximity to Stockton University. Hosts welcome ELS students as if they were already members of the family. Most hosts are professionals who work in or around Galloway. They include teachers, a pharmacist, nurses, business owners, pastors, and professors. Most homes are located on or close to the public bus line. Hosts will drive students to school or the nearest bus stop, if necessary, to ensure the trip to and from campus is no longer than 40 minutes. Weekend activities with host families have included seaside getaways, trips to New York and Philadelphia, and even an American wedding.
Cost per Session
14 meals per week are provided by the host family. American style breakfast and dinner with the host family provides an opportunity to become part of the family and learn more about American culture.
