All classes are fully aligned with the ELS curriculum so you can work towards your Certificate of Completion, which is accepted in place of IELTS/TOEFL at 600+ universities in the United States.
if you are not located near an ELS Language Center, you could be eligible to continue studying through the ION+ program, allowing you to complete your ELS Certificate.

Yes! Online classes will follow the same ELS curriculum and books used in regular classes. In addition, this curriculum is supplemented with interactive listening, reading, writing, and grammar exercises across ELS’ innovative online language learning platforms. Instructors will review this work and provide feedback and guidance to students throughout the week.

Yes. The content on all of the online platforms can be accessed on a phone. However, because you will be spending a lot of time doing online coursework and assignments, we recommend using a computer or tablet.
Students will receive grades in the online classes the same way they received grades in class. However, because of the online format, the assessments will not be exactly the same. Students will be assessed based on attendance and participation in live sessions, completion of online listening, grammar and reading activities, and speaking and writing evaluations.
Yes. Students who pass the level with an overall average of 79% or higher will advance to the next level. The online live instruction and educational platform is fully aligned with the ELS methodology. You can work toward your Certificate of Completion, which is accepted by more than 600+ colleges and universities in the United States.
Each week, you will participate in group classes with instructors, private one-on-one sessions with instructors, and independent work online. It will be 18 hours of remote teaching, plus individual work in the GEL platform.
Listening and speaking practice and feedback will be a particular focus in the Structure and Speaking class. Listening and speaking will be done through guided interactions with the teacher and in monitored discussions with other students in online breakout rooms. Listening practice will also be emphasized in independent online activities.

The maximum class size for SSP and RW is 15 students. There is also one period of “small group instruction” for SSP and RW each week. The maximum class size for “small group instruction” is eight.
