If you are looking for a language study travel experience in the United States, our vacation English programs in the US could be just what you need. These programs, including ELS Language Experience+, emphasize conversational skills with a focus on everyday communication. Designed to allow more time for you to explore your surroundings, you can practice your English in the real world while experiencing American culture.

ELS Language Experience+ challenges you to create a flexible English-learning experience as unique as you are. Improve your everyday conversational skills while immersing yourself in activities and new cultural experiences in fascinating U.S. cities. Study for 3 or 6 hours per day, stay for 2 weeks or 24 weeks – the choice is yours. Learn English on your terms, at your pace, and on your schedule.

Basic (CEFR Level A2)
  • Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters
  • Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need
  • Can express simple opinions and preferences using expressions such as "I don't agree" and "I (don't) like"
Intermediate (CEFR Level B1)
  • Can keep up a casual conversation for a reasonable period of time, provided that this is of a mainly familiar, predictable nature
  • Can produce simple connected statements on topics which are familiar
  • Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations
Proficient (CEFR Level B2)
  • Can present and justify her/his own opinion, and make nuanced arguments to support viewpoints
  • Can synthesize and summarize information from various sources
  • Can keep up a conversation on a fairly wide range of topics, such as personal and professional experiences, events currently in the news, and abstract/cultural topics without strain for speaker or listener

ELS/Orlando, in the Stetson University Center Building, is in the charming town of Celebration, Florida. Celebration offers parks and lakes, a golf course, and walking and cycling trails where you can experience Floridian landscapes and wildlife. Both the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean beaches are about an hour’s drive away, and thrilling iconic theme parks are also nearby – including Walt Disney World®, and Universal Orlando Resort™.

ELS/Santa Monica

ELS/Santa Monica in downtown Santa Monica – on the famous Third Street Promenade – is home to colorful and lively sidewalk singers, artists, theaters, shops, and open-air restaurants just two blocks from the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the Santa Monica Pier, numerous art and cultural events, or travel to famous locations like Venice Beach and Beverly Hills.

ELS/New York – Manhattan

ELS/New York – Manhattan is adjacent to Battery Park in lower Manhattan, with views of the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River, and immediate access to the subway, NYC buses, as well as the ferry to New Jersey. Visit famous landmarks like the Empire State Building, Broadway, Times Square, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center,, Central Park, Wall Street, and so much more!

ELS/Boston –Downtown

ELS/Boston – Downtown is in a fun, urban setting in the heart of historic Boston, and close to outdoor parks, ball fields like Fenway Park, and the Boston Public Library. You can visit many nearby colleges and universities, go to a rock concert, enjoy live theater, or cheer at a professional sports game. Those interested in history can walk along Boston's famous Freedom Trail – which starts directly outside the Center!

ELS/San Diego 

ELS/San Diego is centrally located in downtown San Diego, with the city’s entertainment and shopping district nearby. Enjoy the comfortable climate, sandy beaches, year-round events in the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of California. Experience famous tourist attractions unique to the city, like the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, Mission Beach, or the Gaslamp Quarter.
